WG Resources:

Six Student Centered Grammar Lessons -- This handout, developed by Dr. Sherry Warren, provides numerous ideas for creating engaging student-centered grammar lessons. It also provides a list of strategies and things to avoid in order to lead students to successful use of English grammar.

Teaching Writing -- This handout, developed by Dr. Sherry Warren, provides activities for every stage and aspect of the writing process, from sentence writing to research writing.

Teaching Grammar: Notes from the Legend -- This handout was developed by Dick Holmes, former WG coordinator.  It provides helpful principles, strategies and tips for teaching grammar.

Materials for teaching citation and preventing plagiarism:

Adding Citations and Bibliographies using MS Word -- This helpful resource explains how to generate citations and bibliographies using Microsoft Word.  It was created by Amy Roberts in Fall 2013.
Using Citation Generators - A Precautionary Tale -- This helpful set of tips for teachers outlines things to know before letting students loose with citation generators.  It was created by Lynne Voit in Fall 2013.
Problems that lead to plagiarism -- This helpful set of guidelines was created by Lynne Voit; a must-read for any teacher of writing.
Plagiarism and Citation Quiz -- This multiple choice quiz was created by Jess D'Atri, and is very helpful as an aid for teaching the concept of plagiarism.
Plagiarism Review Quiz -- This short answer quiz was created by Lynne Voit; it can be used as a post-test after teaching the concept of plagiarism.
Plagairism Pledge -- This is a pledge that students sign confirming that they will not plagiarize after learning what this means.  It was originally created by Alisha Biler and has been adapted.
Academic Integrity Warning letter -- This helpful email template can be used to officially inform students that they have plagiarized and warn them of the consequences of doing so again.  It was created by Jess D'Atri.
Academic Integrity EPI Policy -- This is the official EPI policy, adopted in 2011.
